Just Because Photography Studio began in 2009 as a home studio with two lights, a second-hand camera, and a small notebook full of people who wanted to be seen. Fifteen years later, we're a boutique studio focused on a few things done extraordinarily well.
Our work draws from magazine editorial, film photography, and the small-town warmth of Central Illinois. Every commission is designed around a framed wall portrait or heirloom album — not a folder of files.
We serve families, expecting mothers, professionals, and brands from Mattoon, Charleston, Effingham, and every county in between.
Editorial First
Every session is planned like a magazine spread — locations, wardrobe, light, and pacing considered before the first frame.
Personal, Never Rushed
Two-hour minimums on most sessions. We'd rather leave with a hundred images we love than a thousand we tolerate.
Printed to Last
We're a print-first boutique studio. Files are beautiful; a framed archival portrait above your mantel is an heirloom.
