Charleston sits fifteen minutes from our Mattoon studio, and it is one of the towns we photograph most. Eastern Illinois University brings a steady stream of faculty headshots, graduate portraits, and departmental photography, while Charleston's neighborhoods keep us busy with family portraits, maternity commissions, and lifestyle sessions for couples and seniors. The town gives us an unusual range of backdrops within a few blocks. The courthouse square offers brick, columns, and shade for editorial portraits. Morton Park has mature trees and open lawn that photograph beautifully in late-day light. Out toward Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site, split-rail fences, prairie grass, and timber give family sessions a quiet, timeless character that suits large framed pieces particularly well.
